  How does the TruMe Labs Biological Age Test work?

  The TruMe test uses a saliva sample to analyze DNA methylation at specific CpG sites—regions of your genome that reflect how your body is aging at a cellular level. That information is run through their algorithm to reveal your biological age rather than your chronological age.

  Do I need to visit a lab or give blood?

  No. The TruMe test is completely non-invasive—you collect your saliva at home, mail it in with prepaid shipping if you're in the U.S., and receive your full report within 3-4 weeks of sample receipt.

  How accurate is it?

  TruMe's test has a reported mean absolute deviation of about 3–4 years, meaning it provides a reliable biological age estimate. Accuracy is optimized when you follow collection instructions, stay hydrated, and avoid eating, drinking (except water), or brushing your teeth 30 minutes before sampling.

  Is the lab CLIA-certified?

  Yes. TruMe Labs operates in a CLIA-certified lab and adheres to validated protocols suitable for genetic research, though it is not a clinical diagnostic test.

  Can I track my progress over time?

  What if my test doesn't return results or the sample is compromised?

  TruMe offers a replacement kit if your sample is invalid or compromised during shipping. They'll also notify you if your sample fails to meet quality standards.

  Does TruMe map my whole genome?

  No, TruMe only looks at certain sites in your epigenome. No personally identifiable genetic information is taken or used.
